Although I love to travel, I have lived in the Triangle for most of my life and I have always considered Durham home. Because I am fascinated with homes and buildings and because of the joy I find in helping people and showing folks around, real estate is a natural fit for me. I love sharing the rich history of Durham with newcomers and reminiscing with Durham natives.

For 30 years, I have been the proud owner of Wavelengths—an iconic piece of Durham’s historic and bustling Ninth Street. I studied business at NC Wesleyan but some of my greatest learning experiences have come by way of being a longtime-business owner. Because I have those experiences, I know what it takes: Honesty is always the policy. There is never too much communication. You are only as good as your people. Your children are your greatest gift. And, most importantly, you have to be there, do what you say you’re going to do, and underpromise but over-deliver. These are the principles I believe in and bring to real estate. In this ever-changing market, I will look out for you.

Growing up and working in Durham, I have a rich knowledge of the history of the area and an appreciation for its growth. I am a dog-lover—I have a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua—between that and my knowledge of Durham, I can tell you where the best trails are for adventures with your pup or for solo hikes of your own. I’ve lived in the Rockwood neighborhood since Hurricane Fran, in 1996, but I grew up in the northern part of the county and I am a member of Northern High School’s graduating class of 1980. I have one son: Sean. He and his wife Sarah met at UNC Law and now reside in Charlotte with their child, my grandson, Parker.
